We want to ensure that your account is always protected. M2U ID Web can connect with various devices, so it can give you the assurance that only you can control and access your account, as well as give authorization transactions.

Internet banking international compliance, 128 bit encryption, Verisign certified and equipped with 2 types authentication (Password and SMS Token). Biometric authentication is available in M2U ID App.

Safety Info

The internet is a medium of information between very open computer systems. Illegal access to data is possible. As an Internet Banking provider, Maybank takes various steps to minimize the risk of involvement without illegal access.

Actions taken include using:

• Digital ID Certificate / 128-bit encryption
  All information transferred between your computer and the M2U ID Web system is encrypted using 128-bit encryption technology, which is verified by Verisign.
• User ID and Password
  The User ID and Password is made by the customer to ensure security from unauthorized third parties. To further increase security, your M2U ID Web user ID will be blocked if you entered the wrong password 3 times.
• TAC (SMS Token)
  SMS Token is required every time you make a financial transaction.
• Firewall
  As a fence that prevents illegal access to the banking network, M2U ID Web is equipped with a firewall that surrounds the system.
• Anti-Virus
  A program that is useful for finding viruses on a PC and eliminating them. Maybank has Antivirus programs in place that have features such as automatic updates to identify new types of viruses, so that all viruses can be found and removed.
• 5 minutes Auto Logout
  The system will automatically log out of your account if there is no activity within 5 minutes.
• 3 times Invalid Login or Invalid SMS TAC
  The system will automatically block your user ID and password after 3 failed attempts of login (username/password) or entering an invalid SMS TAC.

Anticipation of security using technology will not run perfectly without participation or commitment from customers. Always carry out the principle of prudence when making transactions:

• Maintain the confidentiality of your password, even with staff at our bank.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your TAC (SMS Token). Do not share the contents of SMS Tokens to others.
• Make sure that you have logged out after using M2U ID Web.
• Avoid using Internet Banking through publicly owned computers, especially at Internet Cafes due to the possibility of "keyboard tabbing", a program that will read and store your user ID and password.
• Make sure the computer you are using is free of virus by always updating your personal anti-virus with the latest version.
• Avoid downloading files with unclear titles and sources.
• Always activate your smartphone lock so that it cannot be accessed by others.
