Being the Chairman of Shariah Supervisory Board (SSB) of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia, Tbk since 20 May 2003 and has been reappointed several times which his most recent reappointed through Maybank Indonesia AGMS on 31 March 2023.
Muhammad Anwar Ibrahim can continue to carry out his position and authority as Chairman of the Company's Sharia Supervisory Board until his replacement is appointed and determined by the Company's General Meeting of Shareholders.

Has various lecturing experiences throughout his career (1964-2016), including at the Institute of Al-Quran Sciences, Jakarta in the field of Islamic Studies, Syarief Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta and Trisakti University.
The education backgrounds that he obtained among others Bachelor degree in Islamic and Sharia Studies from the Raden Fatah Islamic Institute, Palembang (1964) and Master of Arts (1966-1969). He earned his Philosophy of Doctor in Comparative Fiqh and Usul Fiqh from the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Egypt (1974-1978). Aside from that he has competency as sharia capital market expert from the Indonesia Capital Market Institute and OJK (2016).

Appointed as a member of Shariah Supervisory Board (SSB) of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia, Tbk based on the Annual General Meeting Shareholders (AGMS) on 30 March 2020 and and has effectively served since 24 July 2020. His last appointed as a member of SSB of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia, Tbk was based on the decision of the Annual General Meeting Shareholders (AGMS) on 31 March 2023.
Mohammad Bagus Teguh Perwira can still carry out his position and authority as Member of the Company's Sharia Supervisory Board, until Dr. K.H. Sodikun M.Si., M.E. who appointed in this General Meeting of Shareholders have effectively carried out their positions and authority as the Company's Sharia Supervisory Board after fulfilling all requirements based on applicable laws and regulations.
Currently, his has served as a member of SSB of PT Bank OCBC NISP, Tbk (since October 2009), Head of the Daily Executive Board – Vice Secretary BPH, National Sharia Council-Indonesia Ulema Council (since December 2020), a member of SSB of PT Bank Tabungan Negara, Tbk (since 2 June 2021) and the Chairman of SSB PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia (since 25 March 2022).
He has education background, among others Bachelor from Faculty of Islamic Studies and Arabic, Al-Azhar University, Cairo-Egypt (1999) and Master Degree in Islamic Economics Study from State Islamic University Syarif Hidayatullah – Jakarta (2007). He also has a license as a Capital Market Sharia Expert from OJK and holds a Sharia Supervisory competency certificate as well as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Appointed as a member of Shariah Supervisory Board (SSB) of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia, Tbk based on the Annual General Meeting Shareholders (AGMS) on April 1, 2024.
Appointment of Dr. K.H. Sodikun, M.Si., M.E. as Member of the Company's Sharia Supervisory Board will become effective after fulfilling all requirements based on applicable laws and regulations. Thus, the appointment that will apply to him is after fulfilling all the requirements based on the applicable laws and regulations.
Currently, his has served as a Chairman of SSB of PT Astra Life Syariah (since 2019), a member of SSB of PT Maybank Indonesia Finance (since 2019), Lecturer for SI and Postgraduate Programs at Universitas Gunadarma (since 2022) and Chairman of Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI).
He has education background, Bachelors Degree in Comparative Religion, IAIN Raden Fatah, Palembang, Masters Degree in Public Administration, STISIPOL, Palembang, Masters Degree in Islamic Economics, Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor and Doctoral Degree in Communication, Sahid University, Jakarta.
