Benefits of Insurance:

1. Provides Sharia life insurance protection caused by the death of the Customer due to accident or natural causes. 
2. Sharia life insurance protection is valid if the Customer is aged 17 - 70 years old at the time of opening the Maybank MyArafah Savings Account with a coverage age limit of up to 75 years.
3. Sharia insurance benefits for death due to natural causes can be processed if the account ownership period is >90 calendar days. For Sharia insurance benefits due to accidental death, valid on the 1st of the following month from the opening of the account. 
4. Sharia Life Insurance protection benefit of 3x the previous month-end balance or a maximum of IDR500 million/USD50,000 applies to Customers ≤ 65 years old when opening an account.
5. Sharia Life Insurance protection benefit of 3x the previous month end balance maximum IDR100 million/USD10,000 applies to Customers aged > 65 years.
6. Sharia Personal Accident Insurance protection benefit of 10x the previous month-end balance or a maximum of IDR2 billion/USD200,000.
7. The month-end balance is the balance of the last working day of the month or the closing balance of the book during the Bank's month-end process.
8. Claim reporting must be done maximum 90 days from the date of the incident.

Maybank makes contribution (premium) payments for insurance products, does not receive commissions and is not responsible for all risks arising from the insurance products offered. Insurance products are not included in the scope of the guarantee program as referred to in the laws and regulations regarding the Deposit Insurance Corporation.
