FAQ e-money

Why can’t I top up my e-money on M2U ID App?
  1. Make sure to activate NFC feature on your smartphone.
  2. Remove your phone case/ cover if you are using any.
  3. Place and hold your e-money card on your smartphone for 5 - 10 seconds. It may take a few seconds for your smartphone to read the information on your e-money so don’t pull away your e-money too quickly.
  4. Every device and operating system have a different way to read your e-money data.
  5. If you are using an android phone, place your card on the back of your phone. If you are using an iOS with OS 15 and below, you can place your card on the front of your phone. But if you are using an OS 15, you can place your e-money card on the front or back of your phone.
  6. For your convenience transaction,iIf you are using an iOS, please use OS 15 and up.
I have received a confirmation that my top up transaction has been successful, but why hasn’t my e-money balance changed?
  1. After you received a successful transaction notification, don’t log out from your M2U ID App. Make sure to thoroughly follow the instruction and place your e-money card on the front or back of your phone again to update your e-money balance.
  2. Place the e-money for a few seconds to ensure your smartphone has successfully updated your e-money balance.
I have followed the instructions mentioned in the point above, but my e-money balance still has not changed, what can I do?
  1. Log out from your M2U ID App -> Login again -> go to Transfer e-money menu -> Update your e-money balance
  2. If the point above still did not work, you can update your e-money balance through other mobile apps, Bank Mandiri ATM or other e-commerce that supports the e-money balance update feature.
  3. If after doing both points above and your e-money still has not changed, please contact Maybank Customer Care at 1500611.
I have placed my e-money on the correct position as instructed but my phone still can’t read my e-money information, what should I do?
  1. Make sure to place your e-money to the NFC detection area on your phone (on the back of your phone for Android and the front of your phone for iOS)
  2. Make sure you are using the latest OS version, for iOS make sure to update to OS 15.2
