M2U ID APP - ONE DEVICE BINDING IMPLEMENTATION
Dear Customers,
In order to improve Customer’s security and convenient of transactions through M2U ID App (mobile banking), PT Bank Maybank Indonesia, Tbk requires the use of M2U ID App from only 1 device (One Device Binding) with the condition of Secure2u feature that has been activated.
- What is One Device Binding and am I affected by this implementation?
The implementation of M2U ID App – One Device Binding is as follows:

Customer accesses M2U ID App from 1 device, with active Secure2u |
Customers will be able to login to the M2U ID App and will only be affected if the Customer wish to change the device |
Customer accesses M2U ID App from more than 1 device, with one of the devices has Secure2u activated |
Customers will be directed to login using the device with active Secure2u, while other device(s) will be removed as registered M2U ID App devices |
Customer accesses M2U ID App in more than 1 device, and has never activated Secure2u |
Customer will be directed to activate Secure2u on the first device which is used to login M2U ID App. Other devices will be removed as registered M2U ID App devices after the Customer successfully activates Secure2u and logs in to the device with Secure2u that has been activated |
- What are the benefits of implementing the One Device Binding M2U ID App?
Using M2U ID App that is now can only be accessed via 1 further increases transaction security for Customers and can minimize the potential account takeover by fraudsters, irresponsible parties, or other crime attempts. One Device Binding requires an active Secure2u as one of the authentication factors of the "What you know" nature.
- Is there any cost in implementing the One Device Binding M2U ID App?
There is no fee charged to Customer for implementing One Device Binding M2U ID App.
- What should I anticipate from the implementation of One Device Binding M2U ID App?
Anticipate the safety of using 1 device for M2U ID App:
- Keep your Secure2u passcode / password / PIN confidential.
- Avoid accessing the M2U ID App using a device with a mobile phone number that does not match with the phone number registered at the Bank’s system.
- When Secure2u has been activated and the device has been successfully switched, You will receive notifications via email, SMS, or push notification. Make sure your notifications are on. If You do not feel like doing so, please contact Maybank Customer Care at 1500611 or +622178869811 (from overseas).
- Always activate the device lock to prevent access to the device by other parties.
