About Asuransi Bintang

Motor Vehicle Insurance - Bintang is an insurance that is equipped with various kinds of risk protection, where this product can provide a "double cover" facility for protection / vehicle insurance that is already owned. Maybank Credit Cardholder can complete this motor vehicle insurance with automatic debit every month on their Maybank Credit Card.

Motor Vehicle Insurance Benefits - Bintang :

  1. TLO (Total Loss Only): Vehicle compensation for personal car losses due to 
    1. Destroyed or damaged in such a way that it is not in its original shape due to an accident where the cost of repair, replacement or restoration is equal to or higher than 75% (seventy five percent) of the market price, where the estimated damage is carried out by the company, or an appraiser appointed by the company. company; depreciation for spare parts is taken into account in the cost of replacement or restoration.
    2. Lost due to theft as referred to in the provisions for loss and damage to motorized vehicles, and not found within 60 (sixty) days from the occurrence of the theft.
  2. TL (Total Loss) due to certain events : Vehicle compensation for total personal car losses caused by :
    1. Unrest.
    2. Attack.
    3. Riot.
  3. TJH (Third Party Liability): Compensation for third party obligations (injury causing death) is the insurer providing compensation for :
    1. Maybank Credit Cardholder's legal responsibility for losses suffered by third parties, which are directly caused by motorized vehicles, whether settlement through deliberation, mediation, arbitration or court processes, provided that they have obtained prior written approval from the Insurer, namely :
      1. Damage to property.
      2. Medical expenses, bodily injury and or death.

      The maximum compensation is the sum insured for third party liability coverage as stated in the Policy.
    2. Court fees or expert assistance related to the legal liability of the insured, provided that he obtains prior written approval from the Insurer. The maximum liability of the Insurer for these costs is 10% of the limit of third party liability.

Maybank Credit Cardholder will be contacted by Telemarketing Asuransi Bintang to get this insurance offer; or contact Maybank Customer Care at 1500611.

The general conditions

The general conditions for participating in this insurance are as follows :

  1. Participants must be Maybank Credit Cardholders.
  2. Participants aged 18 (eighteen) years or more but under 65 (sixty five) years on the insurance effective date.
  3. While the family or a maximum of 3 people who receive the benefits / bonus program are:
    1. Spouse / Parents : 18 - 64 years old
    2. Children : 6-21 years old and unmarried
  4. Terms of vehicles that can be insured:
    1. Private vehicles that are not for rent.
    2. Type of vehicle: Sedan, Minibus and Jeep.
    3. Maximum vehicle age is 8 years.
    4. Vehicle with black number plate.
  5. Additional provisions :
    1. STNK in the name of "not necessarily" the Policy Holder.
    2. STNK in the name of "can belong to anyone as long as a family member is eligible" and is registered in the "Policy Summary"

Prosedur Klaim

  1. Contact Maybank Customer Care at 1500611 to find out the procedures and required documents. (Maybank Customer Care is not responsible for the claim process or payment of claims to Maybank Credit Cardholder. Maybank Customer Care only helps inform which later the Maybank Credit Cardholder is asked to contact the Insurance directly)
  2. Contacting Asuransi Bintang Customer Care at the Call Center during normal working days
    Monday - Friday (08.00 AM– 17.00 PM WEST INDONESIA TIME), via:

Completeness of documents required as follows;

  1. General Documents:
    1. Completed claim form.
    2. Photocopy of Maybank Credit Card billing for the last 3 months.
    3. Certificate of cause and chronology of events.
    4. Photocopy of the insured's ID card.
  2. Documents for third party liability (Death) :
    1. Death certificate from hospital and village.
    2. Medical certificate/resume of the results of the post-mortem (visum et reperentum) from the treating doctor.
    3. Witness certificate.
    4. Certificate from the local police.
    5. Death certificate from the local embassy (for deaths abroad).
    6. A third party claim letter (specifically for third party liability).
    7. Other documents if needed.
  3. Documents for the total loss of motorized vehicles :
    1. Lost
      1. Copy of STNK by showing Original STNK.
      2. Certificate of Loss of the local police station.
      3. Certificate of inspection and progress report (LAPJU) from the police.
      4. Damage.
      5. Certificate of estimated damage from Asuransi Bintang's partner workshop.
      6. Copy of driver's license when an accident occurs
    2. Damage
      1. Certificate of estimated damage from Bintang Asuransi's partner workshop.
      2. A photocopy of the driver's license in the event of an accident.
  4. Other documents if required.
