Announcement of Termination of Safe Deposit Box (SDB) service


We hereby inform you that effective by September 1st 2022, our Safe Deposit Box (SDB) service will no longer available.

Customers who are currently on the contract of Maybank Safe Deposit Box service, must adhere to the following rules of the closure process :
  1. Customer will not be able to extend the service of SDB once the contract due ie. 1 (one) year commencing the contract was made.
  2. Customer must clear out the SDB and fill in the SDB termination form accordingly by visiting Maybank Branch Office which Customer’s SDB is located by latest the contract due.
  3. Customer must be able to show :
    • Valid ID Card (KTP or Passport and KITAS).
    • Maybank ATM/Debit Card which linked to the source of account of deducted SDB contract fee.
    • 2 (two) SDB master keys as given upon commencing the SDB service opened.
  4. A penalty fee will be applied if Customer didn’t perform SDB termination up to the agreed period ie. 1 (one) year the contract was made, according to the following calculation:

    The provisions for the number of months of SDB contract due as follows:

    Delay Period Penalty Terms
    < 1 month 1 month
    > 1 month to < 2 months 2 month
    > 2 months to < 3 months 3 month
    etc etc

    Calculation is based on 30 days calendar month.
