Notice of Awareness for Various Fraud Attempts Carried Out On Behalf of Maybank Indonesia

In regards to recent frauds carried out on behalf of   banking institutions, PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk. ("Maybank Indonesia" or "Bank") would like to reiterate the importance for Customers on the awareness of various fraud attempts.

These are the instance of fraud attempts; receiving a file with .apk extension, notification of increased administration fees, loan offers with low fees and interest rates communicated through social media, as well as fraud attempts involving social engineering, including communications in writing or over the phone.

The followings are ways for customers to avoid the fraud attempts carried out on behalf of Maybank Indonesia.

• Do not trust immediately to a chat/phone call which involves obtaining an external link which directs you to fill out a form containing customers' data of unknown source or who may claim to be Maybank Indonesia staff.
• Customers are urged to safeguard confidential information such as User ID, Password, Personal Identification Number ("PIN"), three digits on the back of credit and debit cards ("CVV/CVC"), TAC Code and/or One-Time Password ("OTP") and/or Secure2u Passcode as these are personal information/data belongs to, and to be known only by the Customer.
• Customers are urged to safeguard confidential information such as User ID, Password, Personal Identification Number ("PIN"), three digits on the back of credit and debit cards ("CVV/CVC"), TAC Code and/or One-Time Password ("OTP") and/or Secure2u Passcode as these are personal information/data belongs to, and to be known only by the Customer.
• Customers must ensure the Bank's available products by validating through Maybank Indonesia's official website, www.maybank.co.id or through 24/7 Maybank Customer Care service at 1500611/ +622178869811 (from overseas) or via email customercare@maybank.co.id. Customers may also visit the nearest Maybank Indonesia branch office, as stated on the Maybank Indonesia official website.
