Mangrove Planting on the North Coast of Java

In 2016, Maybank Indonesia in collaboration with the Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation (KEHATI), which focuses on education and environmental conservation, supported the planting of mangrove forests as part of the conservation of marine ecosystem and the preservation of mangrove forest on the north coast (Pantura). The objective was to improve coastal areas by increasing CO2 absorption and empowering coastal communities. This support was also a form of Maybank Indonesia's commitment as an ORI 013 sales agent. Our participation in environmental greening efforts has been carried out consistently since 2008 by planting trees in several regions in Indonesia, including Gunung Gede area, Mount Merapi, University of Indonesia, Jakarta, Bandung, Bantul, Semarang, Surabaya, Jombang, Medan and Cigalontang, and Tasikmalaya.
