About Yuki Kawauchi
The first non-professional runner from Japan to win one of the World Marathon Majors (WMM), Yuki Kawauchi, will be participating in the Maybank Marathon 2025. He was born on March 5, 1987, in Setagaya, Tokyo, and has achieved remarkable accomplishments, including winning the 2018 Boston Marathon with a time of 2:15:58. He has competed in over 100 marathons with finishing times under 2 hours and 20 minutes—a feat recognized by the Guinness World Records as a world record. His dedication, consistency, spirit, and commitment to the sport serve as an inspiration to us all.
