Effective July 1st, 2022, the Maybank EDC machine can only be used for transactions with Maybank Credit Cards.

Domestic credit card transactions at the Maybank EDC machine MUST use a PIN. Make sure the Cardholder knows the PIN before making a payment.

For smooth transactions, ensure the following.

1. The cashier has selected the PIN option after entering the transaction amount
2. The Cardholder has entered the correct PIN on the EDC machine
3. The Cardholder has obtained the latest PIN from the card issuing bank.
4. The network on the EDC machine is not experiencing interference.

Maintenance and Trouble shoot Maybank EDC

MAINTENANCE :

  1. Replace the EDC slip paper roll immediately before thinning to avoid print failure on the EDC machine.
  2. Clean the EDC machine using dry material, the machine cannot be exposed to water or wet material / material.
  3. It is not permitted to release / pair telephone lines or power lines.
  4. If there is damage to the EDC machine, don't open or try to repair it by yourself, immediately contact the Vendor help desk / call center telephone number printed on the EDC machine sticker.


TROUBLESHOOT

  • COMM ERROR :
    After sending data for 30 seconds. If you don't get an answer or response from the Bank, EDC will display COMM ERROR on the display.

    SOLUTION: 

    Repeat the transaction. if after repeated but still the same, immediately contact the Vendor help desk / call center telephone number printed on the EDC machine sticker.

  • NO CARRIER, LINE BUSY :
    Phone lines for EDC machines are busy or has a problem

    SOLUTION:

    Repeat the transaction. if after repeatedly but the results remain the same, try using the telephone outside using the line used on the EDC machine. If you still have problems, immediately contact Telkom.

  • NO LINE : 
    Cable / telephone line not installed.
     
    SOLUTION:
     
    Connect the telephone line to the EDC machine.

  • CARD NO SUPPORTED : 
    Payments with a customer's credit or debit card cannot be used.

    SOLUTION:
     
    Request to customer to use another credit or debit card.

  • READ CARD ERR : 
    Credit or debit cards cannot be read by EDC machines.

    SOLUTIONS:

    Re-swipe the credit card or debit again. If after a number of trials the READ CARD ERR still displays, ask to customer use another credit or debit card. If another card can be used, then the previous card has a problem. If other cards still cannot be used, then the EDC machine is in trouble, immediately call the help desk telephone number / Vendor call center printed on the EDC machine sticker..

  • PRINTER ERROR :
    The paper roll of the EDC slip is up.

    SOLUTION:

    Refill the new EDC slip paper, then press the REPRINT menu to reprint. If the stock of EDC slip paper runs out, immediately contact the Vendor help desk / call center telephone number printed on the EDC machine sticker.

  • SLIP DOES NOT PRINT:
    The EDC slip paper roll is mounted upside down, or the paper quality is bad.

    SOLUTION:

    Reinstall the EDC slip paper roll. If the quality of paper is bad, ask for a new EDC slip paper roll by calling the Vendor help desk / call center telephone number printed on the EDC machine sticker.

  • TRX NOT SUPPORTED, SUSPECT FRAUD, BAD ACCOUNT, etc: 
    Transaction cannot be done.

    SOLUTION:
     
    Request to customer to use another credit or debit card.

  • MUST SETTLE FIRST : 
    The SETTLEMENT process is still hanging. Before the SETTLEMENT process is successful, the EDC machine cannot make another transaction.

    SOLUTION:
     
    Repeat the SETTLEMENT process until it works. if the process still fails immediately contact the Vendor help desk / call center telephone number printed on the EDC machine sticker.

  • TAMPER, DOWNLOAD NEEDED, NO *GO VARIABLE, LAYAR MATI/KOSONG :
    The EDC machine is broken.

    SOLUSION:

    Contact the Vendor help desk / call center telephone number printed on the EDC machine sticker.
