Dividend payout is performed in accordance with the prevailing regulations in Indonesia and the approval from the shareholders granted in the General Meeting of Shareholders, based on the recommendation from the Board of Commissioners and Directors.
Maybank's dividend policy stipulates that dividend payout may be carried out when Maybank has excess of cash from its operating activities less of reserves, funding activities, planned capital expenditure, and the Bank's working capital. The amount of dividend may not exceed 50% (fifty per cent) of the Bank's annual consolidated net income. However, when deemed necessary, the Bank may from time to time decide not to distributed dividend to its shareholders, e.g in the event that the Bank requires additional funds for business expansion to meet capital adequacy requirement, or for new business acquisition.
