Where at maturity the investment funds are fully protected with higher interest income in the view taken is appropriate, on the other hand, the risk of interest income is lower than interest income in general (as low as = 0 is posibble)

Digital Investment Features 

• Using 2 currencies that have been agreed upon suac as USD/JPY, USD as the placement currency and JPY as the alternative currency
• Available in several currency optins, which can be paired with other currencies
• Provides a fixed payout if the FX Price is below (digital put option) or above (digital call option) the strike price, often referred to as “binary” or “all or nothing options”.
• Cannot convert the agreed currency.
• Income indications can be estimated according to applicable scenarios.
• Relatively short tenors, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, and up to 1 year.
• It is not permitted to terminate transactions before maturity and no fees are charged.
• Can use all foreign currencies and Rupiah according to applicable regulations.
• The minimum amount to carry out a Digital Investment transaction is USD 25,000.00 (or equivalent) and the maximum amount is the average daily account balance at Maybank Indonesia for 90 (ninety) days.

• Get higher interest income compared to conventional deposits.
• Have a certain view of the market movements of the currency you want to invest in.
• Can invest in protected manner (principal protected) in short term yield enhancement product (compared to bonds).

Risk of Digital Investment

• Not included in the scope of the government guarantee program or Lembaga Penjaminan Simpanan (Deposit Guarantee Institution)

Term and Condition

1. Customer must has a current or saving account (Rupiah or Foreign Currency) at Maybank and has signed the required documents needed to enter a Digital Investment transaction
2. The minimum amount to enter a Digital Investment transaction is USD 25,000 (or equivalent) and the maximum amount is the average daily account balance at Maybank Indonesia for 90 (ninety) days. The average balance provisions apply to the placement of funds from Digital Investment to be transacted
3. Customers place funds with Maybank in the form of deposits in various currencies which can be transacted at Maybank according to market conditions.
4. Neither the Bank nor the Customer is permitted to terminate the transaction before maturity, funds cannot be withdrawn during the investment tenor
5. The Customer authorizes the Bank to block and unblock disburse the deposit account and credit the deposit disbursement proceeds to the agreed source currency account at the investment maturity date.
